Aviasalon JSC, the official organizer of International Aviation and Space Salons, is actively negotiating with frequent and potential participants of the show. In the autumn of 2017, the Aviasalon’s delegation, headed by its CEO Alexander Levin, negotiated with representatives from the business communities of Great Britain, United States, France, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Japan, Pakistan and other countries.
Partnership with the countries that always participate in Zhukovsky airshows makes significant progress. In the course of negotiations with companies from Germany, Italy, France and India, the parties agreed not only to continue their cooperation, but also to find new forms of interaction. In particular, the discussion touched upon the possibility of MAKS presentations for business people of aerospace industry from various countries. The first meeting occurred in Italy before MAKS 2017 and demonstrated the effectiveness of this working format.
A few potential MAKS participants found the salon to be a promising business ground. Mohammed Al Zarooni, CEO of the Free Economic Zone of Dubai Airport, said that his company which had organized road shows in America, Europe and Asia is ready to discuss the long-range participation in the Moscow air show. “We find MAKS an exciting event. We already have customers from Russia and it might be useful to expand our presence at the salon," he said.
Representatives of the UN World Food Program, as frequent participants of aerospace shows in France, United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates, expressed their interest in participating in the 2019 air show. Capt. Samir Sajet, the official Program representative, noted that MAKS could become a platform for presenting activities in Africa, which is especially relevant because the UN uses Russian- and Soviet-made aircraft for many missions in the region.
On the other hand, representatives of Swedish Space Cooperation agency expect to establish cooperation with Russian scientists at the academic conventions hosted by the show. Opportunity to participate in the business briefings of MAKS 2019 aroused interest from the senior managers of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) that promotes national second to fourth-tier suppliers abroad.
