Despite the fact that most of the planned events, including conferences, round table discussions, presentations and briefings have already been held, on June 20, the Salon worked on actively. The business program was concentrated on the presentation of promising projects and forecasts. Moreover, youth events were held.
Contracts and supplies
Russian Helicopters has signed a number of aircraft supply agreements and contracts. State Transport Leasing Company concluded an agreement with the aircraft manufacturer for the supply of 30 helicopters, including twelve Mi-8AMT aircraft produced by Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, six Mi-8MTV-1 and twelve Ansat helicopters manufactured by Kazan Helicopter Plant, with delivery time being 2018. Another agreement concerns the provision of twelve Ansats in medical configuration to Russian Helicopter Systems in 2018.
It should be noted that the partnership between Russian Helicopters and State Transport Leasing Company is of strategic importance. In order to strengthen it, the parties concluded an agreement on cooperation in the field civilian helicopter equipment promoting on the international market.
Order stock of modern Russian helicopters will be enriched by Chinese buyers. United Helicopters International Group contracted five Ansats, three Mi-171 helicopters in transport configuration, and two Ka-32A11BC fire fighters. The order will be executed in 2017-2018.
To secure the fulfillment of its obligations, Russian Helicopters has concluded a general agreement with the United Engine-Building Corporation. Within the next five years helicopter engines TV7-117V, VK-2500, including the most modern modifications of VK-2500P/PS, will be delivered with the total order cost exceeding 75 billion rubles.
Russian aircraft builders made several deals, as well. Airline Azimut intending to become the largest carrier in the south of Russia, signed an agreement on the intent for the supply of four Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft with the receipt planned for 2021-2022.
State Transport Leasing Company signed an agreement with SiLA airline for the supply of two L-410 aircraft, which will be used for local transportation in Magadan region.
The largest number of cooperation agreements was made by financial organizations. Sberbank signed an agreement under the MS-21 program. In addition, the bank is developing strategic partnership with the United Engine-Building Corporation.
Novikombank, the official partner of MAKS-2017, signed an agreements with the United Aircraft Corporation, Shvabe Holding and United Engine-Building Corporation Klimov on Thursday.
The participants of MAKS-2017 Business Program continued their active work on July 20. A number of conferences, seminars, round table discussions and bilateral meetings were held.
A joint meeting of the Expert Council under the State Duma Committee for Economic Policy and Industry, the Aviation Industrialists Committee of Union of Russian Engineering Union, and the Defense Industry Committee of the League for Assisting Defense Enterprises of Russia, discussed initiatives to improve regulatory and legal support for the industry.
The participants of the conference Medical aviation development in the Russian Federation stressed the importance of aviation in the healthcare management. In 2017, state support allowed to increase medical helicopter fleet significantly, and therefore experience exchange on the operation of rotorcraft during emergency evacuation and inter-hospital transportation was especially important.
Within the framework of two briefings, Russian Helicopters presented key civil projects and a development program of helicopter technologies Vertical. In addition, the Congress Center hosted a briefing of the United Aircraft Corporation on the transformation of industrial models and outsourcing a number of low-cost operations.
Сollective exposition “Made in Moscow” and the Congress Center were platforms for MatchMaking, where over 400 meetings took place.
Kronshtadt Group presented an analytical review “Trends of the Global Market of Unmanned Aircraft”. According to the company’s experts, now, more than 60 countries have introduced to the market or are developing over 2,000 unmanned vehicle programs and projects, which even now can meet a wide range challenged commercial and government customers face.
This day, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Prospects of Civil Avionics Development” was held. It discussed scientific and technical groundwork for MC-21 aircraft family program development.
Other issues discussed related to the development of air navigation services. The meeting of the Commission for the Development of the Air Navigation System considered current trends in the field of operations-based trajectories implementation. Whereas, Jeppesen organized a panel discussion entitled “Future of air navigation: tendencies and perspectives” that discussed ICAO, FAA and EASA standards, norms and policies.
Within the framework of the conference “Space Corporations of the Future and Industry 4.0”, aerospace experts discussed current digitalization trend.
Several events were organized by foreign participants of MAKS-2017. Thus, it hosted large-scale presentations of the achievements of Iranian aviation industry and Airshow China that will be held in Zhuhai in 2018.
Preparation of a new generation of engineers and scientists remains the focus of the participants of MAKS-2017. On the third day of the salon, Yuriy Slyusar, President of the United Aircraft Corporation, and Sergey Korotkov, chief designer of Moscow Power Engineering Institute, had a meeting with young engineers within the conference “Scientific, Technical and Innovative Developments of Universities for Russian Aerospace Industry”.
Another youth event was a round table discussion “Creation and Launch of Student Satellites: Challenges and Prospects”.
The International festival of children and youth scientific-technical creativity Off We Go!. organized presentations of projects developed by young scientists. The culmination of the business program of the day was round table discussion “Youth poliсy in the interest of Russian high-end technology industry”.
On Thursday, flights were longer than before.
The greatest interest was heightened by UAC’s military aircraft, and the Sukhoi Superjet 100 and the L-410 civil jets.
Prototypes of the SR-10 jet training aircraft and the Yak-152 piston airplane took part in the flight show. As is customary, the program of Russian Helicopters was large-scale.
For the first time in the history of MAKS, spectators could enjoy flights performed by the United Federation of Superlight Aviation.
In addition to the main program, qualification flights of the Baltic Bees Jet Team and the legendary Il-2 were demonstrated.
Spectators awarded roaring applause to the aerobatic team Al Fursan. Then a warm meeting was held between the pilots of the team and the delegation of the OAU Ministry of Defense with Viktor Bondarev, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Air Force and Russian pilots.
The aerobatic team of the Russian Air Force was invited to take part in an air show in Dubai.
