Aeroflot – Russian Airlines, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company and State Transport Leasing Company are going to secure an agreement on the supply of 20 Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional jets during the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017, RNS reported citing Aeroflot CEO Vitaly Saveliev.
“We are going to sign [an agreement on the supply of 20 Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional jets through State Transport Leasing Company] at MAKS air show, and we hope we will succeed”, he said.
Aeroflot was the first buyer and operator of the SSJ100 in Russia. The initial agreement on the supply of 30 airliners was signed in December 2005.
13th International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017 will be held in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated June 19, 2015. The venue is a fly ground of Gromov Flight Research Institute, Zhukovsky, Moscow region. According to the agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation dated December 15, 2015, Aviasalon JSC is defined as the sole official host of the air show.
The previous MAKS air show held in 2015 was attended by 878 enterprises and organizations, including 151 companies from 30 countries.
