Symposium on Aviation Medicine
The Symposium entitled Human Factor in Aviation and Problems of Medical Psychological Support to the CIS Participating Countries' Flight Safety has passed within the framework of the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2009. The Symposium was organized and held for the first time by the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) in cooperation with the Association of Aerospace, Navy, Extreme and Ecological Medicine International Public Organization and Center of Medical Education and Certification Non-Commercial Public Institution.
The Symposium took place in the IAC Conference Hall and was attended by 97 visitors from 6 States - participants of the Agreement on Civic Aviation and Air Space Usage, such as Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. There were presented 19 reports, 2 of them by IAC.
Main topics of the Symposium were as follows:
- Harmonization and unification of the normative and legal aeromedical basis of the States participating in the Agreement considering ICAO international standards and recommended practice;
- Human factor in aviation and its role in development of aviation accidents;
- Problems of medical support to aviation and space flights;
- Aviation specialists' state of health. Civil aviation medical flight certification and the means of its improvement;
- On the matter of pre-flying and pre-shift control system;
- Aviation specialists' improvement of resistance against professional activity affects;
- Aviation psychological problems;
- Flight labor, stresses and other factors - a piece of history.
The participants marked a high level of the Forum and approved its holding within forthcoming MAKS aviation salons.
