10TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON FLUID CONTROL, MEASUREMENTS, AND VISUALIZATION FLUCOME2009
(August 17-21, 2009, Moscow)

REPORT

In framework of business programme of the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2009 that was held in August 18 – 23, 2009, the 10_th International Conference on fluid control, measurements, and visualization FLUCOME 2009 was organized and held by Joint Institute for High Temperatures of Russian Academy of Sciences, Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute, Institute for Chemical Physics of Russian Academy of Sciences. The conference was held in under the sponsorship of the Russian Fund of Fundamental Research and Presidium of Russian Academy of Science. Academician Vladimir Fortov, Director of the Joint Institute for High Temperatures, academician-secretary of the Power, Machine Building, Mechanics and Control Processes Department of Russian Academy of Science, Member of the Board for Science and HiTech was the chairman of the conference. FLUCOME 2009 was attended by more than 100 delegates from 18 countries.

Companies that deal with development of flow visualization and control were presented by stands. Main sections of the Conference included the following topics:

Delegates of the conference visited the exposition of the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2009 with the aim of familiarization with the latest achievements of Russian aviation and space branches. This visit created the platform for discussions with MAKS exhibitors.

The International Scientific Board of FLUCOME has concluded that the 10_th conference, which was held in Moscow, was successful and it has achieved its objectives and goals.
