Russian Aviation Industry – Flight Safety and Operations Support for Civil and State Operators – Main Problems and Ways of Solving

On August 21, 2009 in framework of the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2009 a conference “Russian Aviation Industry – Flight Safety and Operations Support for Civil and State Operators – Main Problems and Ways of Solving” was held.

It was organized by Federal State Unitary Enterprise “AVIAPROMSERVICE” and sponsored by the Department of Aviation Industry of the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministries of Transport, and Defense, Rosaviation, United Aircraft Corporation, Corporations “Oboronprom”, and “Russian Helicopters”.

There were more then 40 representatives from about 30 organizations and enterprises.

Flight safety ensuring and operations support for civil and state operators was given a traditional great consideration on the part of aviation industry. However during the last about 20 years these duties were lost in a large measure.

The purpose of the conference was to consider the main problems in the field of Flight safety ensuring and operations support for civil and state operators on the part of aviation industry and searching the ways of restoring the duties with regard for former positive experience, but in new conditions, and modern capabilities in information technologies. Such task was given to FSUE “AVIAPROMSERVICE”, as the successor of 11 Main Department of Ministry of Aviation Industry of USSR, which performed these duties.

In now days is set the Science-Technical Council of Ministry of Industry and Trade with its Section “Aviation Industry” and Problem Council “The Improvement of Flight Safety, Reliability, and Resources of Aviation Techniques”. The conference was the start step of this Problem Council.

It received the positive reaction from aviation specialists and is planned to be continued on the next MAKS.
