The Rossiya transport and exhibition complex

On July 24, 2008 on a platform of the Rossiya transport and exhibition complex which is being constructed at present, Aviasalon JSC held a presentation of the light aviation development program. Press-briefing devoted to this event also took place.

The program is carried out within the frameworks of conception, which has been formulated in the Decree № 217 from February 20, 2008 of the President of the Russian Federation, concerning creation of the National Aircraft Manufacturing Centre in Zhukovsky, Moscow region.  

According to this decree the Rossiya transport and exhibition complex JSC has been created. The territory of Gromov Flight Research Institute has been determined as a base platform for TEC "Rossiya". It is a unique test-flight base of Russian aviation industry.

The Model of the National Aircraft Manufacturing Centre in Zhukovsky provides formation of conditions for consolidation and placement of engineer and designer resources of the Russian aviation field in immediate proximity to each other. Within the frameworks of TEC development it is planned to create consolidated block of civil aviation and business aviation. This block will be presented on the forthcoming International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2009 (18-23 August, 2009). Within the limits of this program creating of the following structures is planned:

• Training and Retraining Centre for air crew of general and business aviation, which is meant for training of armature pilots, air crew of commercial aviation, professional test-pilots etc.
• Certificate Centre for light aircrafts.
• Permanent exhibition and trade fair of aircrafts.

Exhibition area of  TEC "Rossiya" is planned to be in permanent exploitation for organizing and holding of All-Russian and international exhibitions. 

First step towards the development of light aviation within the limits of TEC "Rossiya" is considered to be the presentation of the light aircraft Sigma-Classic, which is produced in Voronezh by Virazh LLC. Within the next years every aviation lover will be able to visit TEC "Rossiya", get acquainted with technical characteristics of this aircraft, participate in a test-flight and purchase desirable aircraft.
