DEMONSTRATION OF AIRCRAFTS ON STATIC DISPLAYS

Static display at MAKS 2009 is divided in two parts. In zone B on concrete takeoff and landing strip 1 is a station for civil and military aircrafts and helicopters with take-off weight of more than 3 tons. Here you can see aircrafts and helicopters, read the history of their creation and their technical and strategic characteristics, get firsthand information from developers and operators, and also visit cabins of aircrafts and helicopters, sit in pilot seat and observe control panels of flying vehicles.

In zone C is a station of general aviation aircrafts and helicopters with take-off weight not more than 3 tons, and also exotic flying vehicles created by aviation lovers. Here visitors can communicate with real aviation fans, who do their best to create their amazing flying vehicles.

Also in zone C on the left from check point 3 is zone for balloons, where visitors of MAKS 2009 can see flying machines that are lighter than air, and conduct familiarization flight on captive balloon to take a magnificent bird's-eye view over the whole exhibition territory.

DEMONSTRATION FLIGHTS OF AEROBATIC TEAMS

Shows of aerobatic teams, which demonstrate well-coordinated flights of several aircrafts in flying formations and group aerobatic performance, are invariably admired by all visitors of the Aviation Salon.

At MAKS 2009 best aerobatic teams of Russia will perform with new exciting programs: Sokoly Rossii (Russian Falcons) on aircrafts Su-27, Su-24 and Strizhi (Swifts) on fighters MiG-29 - members of the Center of Aviation Technics Demonstration n.a. Kozhedub located at the airfield Kubinka near Moscow.

Aerobatic team Sokoly Rossii (Russian Falcons) that was created on the base of Lipetsk Aviation Center of Tactical Employment and Retraining of Aircrew will show group, pair and single flying programs on aircrafts Su-27, Su-24 and MiG-29. They will conduct several variants of demonstrational air fights: 1 vs. 5, 2 vs. 2 etc., and also show their specialty - «tactical wing» that consists of 11 fighters.

At MAKS 2009 visitors will have a chance to see performances of foreign aerobatic teams: Italian Frecce Tricolori will perform in group of 9 light training jet aircrafts Aermacchi MB-339, French Patrouille de France - in group of 8 light training jet aircrafts AlfaJet.

All flights will be conducted to loud music of classical composers and smoke generators will produce colored smoke (white, blue, green, red - as on state flags of participant countries) and create fanciful designs and figures in the sky (for example heart speared with an arrow). In windless weather these figures usually stay in the sky over MAKS territory for a long time.
