The main activity of AVIASALON JSC is organization and realization of international and national aviation and space salons, exhibitions, symposia, conferences and other events of scientific, commercial and cultural type both in Russia and abroad.
Aviasalon Ltd was established on February 14, 1992. Later on it was reorganized into CJSC and in 2004 - into AVIASALON JSC.
AVIASALON JSC acts as the Directorate of the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS in Russia.
Up to date 8 Aviation and Space Salons have been held. Each of them went down in history of aviation and cosmonautics.
During each of the held Salons specialists could see novelties of the Russian defense industry,, which included promising aircrafts, helicopters, missiles, avionics and scientific research results. The efficiency of MAKS is valued not only by the number of signed agreements. MAKS is considered to be business card of Russia - symbol of the great aviation power in the present millennium.
As the organizer of MAKS AVIASALON JSC confidently forecasts further development of the Aviation Salon as an important instrument for integration of Russia into the international aerospace community and for expanding of the inner cooperation ties.
Today MAKS, the idea of which consists of the demonstration of Russian high technologies and of the openness of the internal market to joint projects using progressive achievements of the foreign partners, by right occupies a prominent place among world's largest aviation forums.
MAKS is famous for its high level of organization and representation. The Government of the Russian Federation renders a decision to hold the Salon.
The Organizing Committee of MAKS consists of ministers, heads of departments and major research-and-production centers of the aerospace industry. The President of the Russian Federation traditionally takes part in the official Opening Ceremony of MAKS.
Among main goals of MAKS can be named: revival of the aviation festivals in Russia, promotion of the aviation among youth, development of the international cooperation.
Currently AVIASALON JSC systematically works on organizing and holding of the upcoming International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2009 (August 18 - 23, 2009).
