AHC SUKHOI, SCA AND ALENIA AERONAUTICA CREATE JOINT VENTURE
Sukhoi Aviation Holding Company (JSC), Sukhoi Civil Aviation
(CJSC) and the Italian Alenia Aeronautica have signed an agreement on strategic
partnership, according to which a joint venture company SuperJet International
has been founded. It will deal with the certification, market promotion and the
after-sale service of the Sukhoi SuperJet-100 airplanes.
In the frames of the official ceremony, which
took place at MAKS 2007 on August 22, AHC Sukhoi CEO Mikhail Pogosyan, Sukhoi
Civil Aviation CEO Viktor Subbotin and Alenia Aeronautica Senior Vice-President
Carlo Logli signed the agreement.
The allotment of shares in the newly created
joint venture company will be the following: Alenia Aeronautica will have 51%
of shares and AHC Sukhoi will have 49%. The headquarters will be in Venice,
Italy.
At the moment under the signed contracts 71
Sukhoi SuperJet-100 airplanes have been ordered and taking into account the
options the number of ordered aircrafts exceeds 100.
