IFC: $1b worth of contracts.
OAO Ilyushin Finance Co (IFC), an aviation leasing company,
made a number of contracts on the shipment of Russian aircrafts with a total
cost of $1b.
On August 21 its representatives signed a
contract with Russia State Transport Company and made an agreement which states
the company's intent to buy one new Ilyushin Il-96-300. During the same day IFC
made a contract with Avialinii-400 on the leasing of six Tupolev Tu-204-100s
and a contract with the Ukrainian Motor Sich to buy seventy-four D-436 engines
and auxiliary power units for the Antonov An-148.
On August 22 IFC made a contract with Iran Air Tours on the
shipment of five Tupolev Tu-204-100s. At the same time IFC and the Cuban
Aviaimport S.A. signed a Memorandum of Understanding, in which the Cubans state
their intent to enlarge the fleet of Cubana de Aviacion by buying Russian
aircrafts between 2008 and 2011. Under the agreement during this period the
Cubans intend to buy two mid-haul Tupolev Tu-204s and three regional Antonov
An-148s.
On August 23 IFC and the Ilyushin Aviation
Complex signed a transfer deed for the Ilyushin Il-96-400T which will be tested
together with Atlant-Soyuz. Besides IFC and the Voronezh Aircraft Construction
Company (VACO) signed an agreement according to which the leasing company will
buy thirty-four Antonov An-148s for its clients with delivery period from 2008
to1010.
During the same day IFC and the Perm'
Engine-Building Factory signed an agreement on the shipment of fifteen PS-90A1
engines and twelve PS-90A2s for the Tupolev Tu-204.
At the press conference dedicated to the results of
MAKS-2007 IFC made one more contract, this time with Transas, a supplier of
training simulator equipment. Under the agreement IFC will buy the company's
training simulators and set up two training centers for pilots of the Tupolev
Tu-204 and Antonov An-148.
