Aviasalon JSC, The Federal Agency of Industry, supported by Russian company “KVAND-ASHM”, cordially invite to participate in the contest due to be held during the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2007 (Zhukovsky, Moscow Region, 21 – 26 August, 2007).
The contest invites entries in the sphere of aircraft cabin design, inner equipment and services related to passenger comfort and safety assurance. The Contest is designed to provide an impartial evaluation of the scientific potential of the civil aviation sector players: starting from aircraft cabin components producers to in-flight catering suppliers.
THE CONTEST WINNERS WILL BE SELECTED IN FIVE CATEGORIES:
1. Application of innovative design solutions in Russian aircraft cabins
2. The best product presentation at the expo booth
3. Products of comfort assurance and in-flight catering
4. Passenger entertainment equipment
5. Aircraft cabin components
KEY EVALUATION PARAMETERS AND CRITERIA:
- application of advanced technologies and innovative approach
- product relevance (technical and social)
- world-class standard
- originality and novelty of the solution
- health and comfort
- safety and security
- esthetics
- price
- quality of applied materials
- record of product usage in aircraft
CONTEST RULES:
We invite all the exhibitors of International Aviation and Space Salon, operating in the sector of aircraft cabin interior design and passenger comfort and safety, to participation in the Contest.
The main condition of participation is the presentation of the competing product at an expo booth during MAKS 2007 show.
In order to register for the Contest the applicants must complete and submit the attached questionnaire. In addition to detailed information about the competing product, the applicants are required to list unique features and benefits of the product setting it apart from rivals. The questionnaire has to be submitted till August 10th at the address: ts@kvand.com. In one of the working days of the Airshow the Jury will visit the applicant’s booth.
Awarding:
To ensure the impartiality of the award winners selection, the Jury will include representatives of Aviasalon JSC, state civil aviation authorities, recognized experts and leading journalists:

Members of the Jury will consider the data supplied by contestant companies in the questionnaire, as well as the presentation of the competing product at the show booth. The data will then be analyzed and detailed evaluation of each contestant will be prepared.
At the next stage the Jury will produce short-lists of contenders (2-3 in each category). The selection of short-listed finalists will be based on objective indicators of contestants’ activities.
The winners will be selected by the Jury members in a secret ballot. One winner per each category will be selected.
The winners will be announced at the Closing Ceremony of the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2007. The awarding will also take place there.
The winners will receive certificates and memorable gifts.
