AVIASALON Joint Stock Company

The basic activity of the AVIASALON JSC is the organizing of the international and national aviation and space shows, exhibitions, symposia, conferences and other events of scientific, commercial and cultural type both in Russia and abroad.

About 15 years ago, on February 14, 1992, TOO “Aviasalon” was established. Later, it was reorganized into the ZAO and in 2004 – into the AVIASALON JSC

AVIASALON JSC is a directorate of the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS in Russia.

By now,   8 salons have been held, each of them included aerospace exhibition and air show. All these events went down in history of the aviation and cosmonautics.

Any of the airshows held presented the novelties of the production of the defence complex of Russia to the specialists. Among these novelties promising aircrafts, rockets, and scientific researches were shown. The effectiveness of MAKS is valued not only by the number of the agreements signed. MAKS is the Russia’s visit card, a symbol of the great aviation power in the present millennium.

AVIASALON JSC, as an organizer of MAKS, confidently forecasts the further development of the exhibition, as an important instrument of the integration of Russia into the international aerospace association and of expanding of the inner cooperation links.

Today, MAKS, the idea of which consists in the demonstration of Russian high technologies and in the openness of the inner market for the joint projects with the application of the state-of-art achievements of the foreign partners, really takes the leading place in the rating of the world largest aviation forums.

MAKS-es are distinguished by the high level of organization and representation. The Government of the Russian Federation renders support to the organizing of the event.

The Organizing Committee of MAKS consists of the ministers, heads of the departments and major research-and-production centers of the aerospace market. The President of the Russian Federation takes part in the official Opening Ceremony of MAKS.

The aims of MAKS are the revival of the aviation festivals in Russia, the increase of the interest of the younger generations in the aviation, and the development of the international cooperation.

Currently AVIASALON JSC helds the work, connected with organizing of the next International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2009 (August 18 – 23, 2009).

AVIASALON JSC has formed the team of high-skilled specialists that shows an ability to arrange and permanently develop the specialized international exhibitions in the field of the aerospace technique and high technologies in the conditions of the modern market economy and high competition.
