AIRBUS
MAKS has become a very important aviation event on the world arena, evidenced by a constant increase in the number of participants and presented exhibits. MAKS has indeed become a large aviation fair, comparable, for example, with Le Bourget. Therefore, we are very serious about our participation in MAKS – we brought here our biggest aircraft A380, numerous delegation. MAKS has found its place in our calendar of participation in the largest aerospace shows in the world.

BOEING
For the Boeing Company it is a great honor to bring our new aircraft B787 Dreamliner to one of the top aerospace salons in the world. I am particularly pleased to display B787 for the first time in Russia, since it was designed with the help of the Boeing Technical Research Center (BTRC) in Moscow, which employs more than 1,200 Russian engineers. In the production of every B787 Dreamliner, the parts being used are manufactured by our main supplier in Russia – VSMPO, part of the Russian Technologies State Corporation. Russian engineers, suppliers and partners made a significant contribution to the creation of B787 and its success: a substantial part of the work on designing the front section of B787, the pylons and the leading edges of the wing were made by Russian engineers.

POWER JET
As for the organization, the presence of representatives of business circles and the number of business affairs at this time the situation was perfect – at the level of major international fairs. By the scale of participation, MAKS today is comparable to the ILA fair in Berlin, and I think that in a few years from now it will be able to compete with Farnborough and Le Bourget. For Power Jet, MAKS has now become a must-attend show on the annual calendar and I think that applies for the whole SAFRAN group too.

ROLLS-ROYCE
For ROLLS-ROYCE Russia is a very important market. According to the calculations that we presented to the press at MAKS, in 2020 economic growth in Russia will amount to 4.3 percent and will be higher than in the UK. ROLLS-ROYCE believes in the prospects of the Russian economy. We have in Russia a number of important partners and customers. We are active in all key areas of our business, including aerospace, marine and energy. We consider it is very important to be here. We are happy that we participated in MAKS. At the show, we had a number of important meetings. We have strengthened ties with some of our main customers and negotiated with BOEING and AIRBUS. We met with a delegation of business leaders from Germany and they also actively work together with Russia, cooperating in the area of research. This, incidentally, can be seen as recognition of the importance of the Russian aviation industry, a certificate of trust to Russian scientists and engineers in their efforts to bring the aviation science forward.

The MAKS fair is clearly outstanding. I have been to aerospace shows in Europe, China and I can state that MAKS has become a very high-class event. Here you can find everything you need – a representative composition of exhibitors, a very good expo. The show perfectly presents its part of the market, which is difficult to get to see elsewhere.
